Introduction
The hotels used on our tours will meet the standard of a good, three-star European hotel. Rooms will have private bathrooms, telephones and TV. The vast majority will also have tea- and coffee-making facilities, and there will always be a bar or restaurant on site or nearby. You will also enjoy seven nights on board a Holland America Line cruise ship.
Elk + Avenue Hotel, Banff (nights 1-2)
This modern hotel stands on Banff Avenue, in the heart of downtown, surrounded by mountain scenery. It has its own restaurant, a bar and a gift shop. The rooms have private facilities, telephones, TV, and tea- and coffee-making facilities. Most rooms also have mini-fridges.
On selected departures you will stay at the High Country Inn, instead.

On the main street of this very small township in the mountains, this hotel has two restaurants, a pub, a gift shop and an outdoor hot tub. All rooms have private facilities, TV and telephones.
Sun Peaks Lodge, Sun Peaks (night 4)
This lovely mountain inn is situated in the heart of the Sun Peaks resort, close to a variety of restaurants and bars. All the rooms have private facilities, TV with movie channels, safes, telephones, coffee-makers, irons and ironing-boards and hairdryers.
Please note: The tour departing on 17 September 2025 will stay at the Lobstick Lodge in Jasper and Nancy Greene's Cahilty Lodge in Sun Peaks as opposed to the hotels listed here. These hotels are of a very similar standard.
MS Koningsdam (nights 5-11)
Boasting spacious, wraparound teak decks, a wide variety of dining options and first-class live entertainment, the sleek ships of the Holland America Line promise a memorable taste of ‘life on the ocean waves’. Guests have full-board access to a range of restaurants, serving Asian, European and American cuisines, as well a number of elegant bars, perfect for a cocktail or two at sunset. The sundeck is expansive, featuring sun loungers, a swimming pool and panoramic lookout points, and hosts regularly outdoor cinema showings. There is a spa, and live music is offered daily. Two-berth interior guest cabins are comfortable and well-appointed, featuring TVs, safes and 24-hour room service. Alternatively, if you are looking for views of the Alaskan scenery, you can upgrade your cruise to an Ocean View or Verandah Stateroom or perhaps a Suite.
Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre, Vancouver (nights 12-14)
Set in two modern towers on bustling Burrard Street in downtown Vancouver, this polished hotel offers guests accommodation in sleek rooms, with floor-to-ceiling windows, safes and TVs. Other facilities at the hotel include a restaurant and fitness centre with indoor pool.
