Introduction
The hotels used on our tours will meet the standard of a good, three-star European hotel. Rooms will have private bathrooms, telephones and TV. The vast majority will also have tea- and coffee-making facilities. There will always be a bar or restaurant on site or nearby.
Elk and Avenue Hotel, Banff (nights 1-2)
Located on Banff Avenue - in the heart of downtown - and framed by gorgeous mountain scenery, this modern hotel has its own restaurant, a bar and a gift shop. Rooms offer TV and tea- and coffee-making facilities, and many have mini-fridges.
Note that some tour dates may stay at the Mount Royal Hotel or Brewster's Mountain Lodge. Both of these hotels share similar room facilities to the Elk and Avenue and are both centrally located in Banff.
Whistler's Inn, Jasper (nights 3-4)
Set in an enviable position, on the main street of this charming mountain township, this hotel has two restaurants, a pub and an outdoor hot tub.
Kamloops Hotel - Arranged by Rocky Mountaineer (night 5)
Accommodation is arranged by Rocky Mountaineer and will be of a moderate standard. Other accommodations may also be used, including those in the nearby resort of Sun Peaks on certain dates. You will be advised of your overnight accommodation during check-in.
Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre, Vancouver (nights 6-7)
Set in two modern towers on bustling Burrard Street in downtown Vancouver, this polished hotel offers guests accommodation in sleek rooms, with floor-to-ceiling windows, safes and TVs. Other facilities at the hotel include a restaurant and fitness centre with indoor pool.
The Embassy Inn, Victoria (nights 8-9)
This cosy hotel offers a warm welcome and a fabulous location steps away from the beautiful Inner Harbour. The hotel has its own restaurant and an outdoor heated swimming pool (open seasonally). The guest rooms are air-conditioned, and each has a fridge and a private balcony. (On selected departures you will stay at the Coast Victoria or Delta Victoria, instead.)
Should circumstances require, we reserve the right to accommodate you in conveniently located, alternative hotels of a similar standard.
