The facilities are fantastic, including two swimming pools, reading and games rooms, two gift shops, a restaurant with a sea-view al fresco dining area (serving Sri Lankan specialties and international themed buffets), pool bar, beach bar plus a music and lounge bar (operates twice a week), Sahana spa featuring a sauna, steam bath and Jacuzzi and a sports centre with a gym plus a whole host of activities on offer. These include squash, table tennis, badminton, volleyball, boccia, croquet, aerobics, aqua aerobics, water polo, yoga, darts and pool, so there is plenty to choose from. On Poya Days (dates of the full moon, which are marked as the monthly lunar holiday of Uposatha in the Buddhist religion), no alcohol will be served anywhere in the hotel.
